Saving a Summer Gala from the Heat
We got a panic call for a black-tie gala near Civic Center just as July temperatures pushed past ninety degrees. The organizers originally booked standard portable toilets, but realized asking guests in floor-length gowns to use plastic units on hot pavement was a disaster waiting to happen. They needed climate control immediately.
I pulled our crew off a routine route and we dropped a 3-stall luxury trailer with onboard AC within three hours. We leveled the unit on the uneven historic cobblestones and hooked up the freshwater tanks so the porcelain flush toilets ran silent all night. Guests had a cool, well-lit space with vanity mirrors to freshen up without missing the speeches.
The restrooms were actually nicer than the ones inside the venue, and the AC saved us from the heat.
